Word Crafting: Zine-Building with Art & Words

In this generative workshop, participants will use artwork from local visual artists and the public domain as inspiration to create poetry, fiction, and nonfiction, then turn their work into a zine. All materials will be provided, including print-outs of various art to choose from. Join Bonnie Jo Stufflebeam, the curator of Fort Worth's Art & Words Collaborative Show, in a hands-on approach at crafting words. 

Fee: $60 or $45 for former/current students

Instructor Bonnie Jo Stufflebeam’s fiction and poetry has appeared in over 50 publications both literary and speculative such as Clarkesworld, Hobart, and Year’s Best Dark Fantasy and Horror as well as in six languages. Her work has been featured on LeVar Burton's podcast LeVar Burton Reads. She has been a finalist for the Nebula Award and won the Grand Prize in the SyFy Channel's Battle the Beast contest; Syfy turned her story set in the world of the Magicians into an animated short. She also curates the annual Art & Words Show in Fort Worth.
